Outsourcing

Outsourcing, Offshoring, Nearshoring, Managed Services… However you call it, it has been a growing business trend since the 1990’s.

India, China and the Philippines have been the traditionally largest service providers due mainly to lower costs and educated English speaking workforce, but lately the doors opened for other regions like Eastern Europe and Latin America to play a larger part in the market. Here is where Mexico presents a big opportunity for American companies.

Why Mexico?

Our company’s location in Mexico provides many advantages: Mexico’s proximity to the United States which facilitates communications &
travel.

Excellent infrastructure in major cities regarding power, internet access, transportation and office space.

Operations and IT expenses will be significantly lower than in the Unites States.

Extremely favorable exchange rate.

The United States and Mexico share many cultural influences helping reduce the “foreign” feeling.

Mexico is the United States’ largest goods trading partner and a major IT exporter.

Nearshore Outsourcing

Over the last 30 years, Latin America has become a major destination for back-office operations for US based companies due mainly to proximity, cultural affinity, costs and labor pool quality.

Mexico is the United States’ natural partner given the growing lack of skilled individuals at reasonable rates that is occurring in the US. Mexico has a well-established BPO industry.

More and more companies are willing to have parts of their back office managed externally given they can reduce costs and increase productivity.

Call centers account for more than 70% of all BPO activities in Mexico.

Why Yucatan?

In the last 5 years, the Mexican state of Yucatan has had historic growth in most areas: Security, tourism, economy, job creation, etc. Its economy grew at a faster pace than the country’s at 8%.

Foreign investment in Yucatan in 2022 was 535 million USD the highest ever for the state. Today there are projects in motion for Airbus, Tesla, Amazon, Accenture and Leoni, a cable producing international firm. Other large companies already in the state are Uchiyama Manufacturing Corporation and Fincantieri, which is building the largest shipyard in the Americas.

Yucatan is the educational hub of Mexico’s southeast with several very good level public and private universities with a large number of Central American as well as other foreign students. One of its universities, Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, is the largest in the state and its roots can be traced back to 1611.

Other public universities are the Universidad Tecnologica Metropolitana and the Instituto Tecnologico de Merida. The main Private Universities are Anahuac Mayab, Universidad Marista, Universidad del Valle de Mexico and Universidad Modelo.
